Top Right: + Offense, + Defense
Bottom Right: – Offense, + Defense
Top Left: + Offense, – Defense
Bottom Left: HALP!
SEC
The bloc of Ole Miss, Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas is interesting to watch. Georgia is not far off, but Arkansas making the top right quadrant is something I didn’t expect to see. Also, I’m not used to seeing Texas and Oklahoma in the SEC.
B1G:
Who would have thought that Indiana would be in the top right quadrant? Curt Cignetti is doing work in Bloomington. USC’s defense is for real, Ohio State is where we expected them to be. Washington is a big surprise. Penn State’s offense is taking shape and Iowa is actually showing some competency on offense, but slacked a bit on defense from the previous years.
Purdue…..yikes.
ACC:
Cal. Stanford. SMU all in the ACC. Not used to that. Miami is far and away the best team in the conference right now. Cam Ward is playing lights out and Miami’s defense has been playing very well. No surprise to see Florida State in the “HALP” quadrant, but it’s a surprise to see Clemson in the top left quadrant with them having good offense with poor defense.
Big 12:
Arizona State is acting up in the Big 12. BYU/Utah are creeping up. Colorado is a big surprise where they are. Oklahoma State and Kansas are a big surprise, but again, it’s early in the season and I expect some of these teams to fall out where they currently are.
